  • Botaniska 22A Carl Skottsbergs Gata Västra Götalands län, 413 19 Sweden (map)

An immersive outdoor performance blending dance, soundscapes, and research to explore the hidden lives and movements of the forest. Gothenburg Botanical Garden invites you to experience “Träd i tid och rörelse” (Trees in Time and Motion), a unique performance by Embla dans & teater.

Surrounded by the forest, the audience is drawn into the world of trees through a tapestry of dance, soundscapes, and storytelling, all woven together with current scientific research on tree life and interaction. A Sensory Encounter with Nature Led by two dancers and an actor, visitors are guided into the specific "time-space" of the trees.

The performance offers a tactile and rhythmic experience, allowing you to: Feel the unique textures of tree bark. Follow the natural rhythm of the treetops. Experience the intersection of scientific fact and poetic expression. Following the performance, guests are encouraged to remain in the area to independently explore their own presence and movement within the natural surroundings.
